EZAD-11 is a universal electronic protection unit with the possibility for PC control and communication. The protection is done by analyzing causes of overheating and malfunctioning of the electric motor as well as direct control of the temperature of the windings or other parts of the engine (if the corresponding sensors are mounted). EZAD-11 realizes a precise thermal model of the motor in symmetric or non-symmetrical mode of operation and supplies two-leveled protection – warning and shutting down; memorizes and indicates the malfunction status.


  1. APPLICATIONS:

    EZAD-11 is designed to protect triphase AC motors for low voltages (220/380V) from the whole variety of electrical driven pumps, ventilators, centrifuges, compressors, lifting and transporting mechanisms and other aggregates. The in-built interface module supplies the control of the pumps in accordance with the levels of water in the dispatcher controlled systems.

  2. Protective functions:

    EZAD-11 provides protection of AC motor when:

    • Engine overheats due to non-observance of the technological mode of the aggregate. The mounted heat sensor EZAD – 11 turns off the engine when abnormal temperature of the environment or disrupted cooling is indicated. The thermal protection is conformable to the EU standards for protection class 5 and can be altered due to client’s will;
    • Loss of phase (phase voltage or phase current);
    • Asymmetry of the voltage power supply;
    • “Locked rotor” after backing-up the start process;
    • Underload of the motor (when needed);
    • Lowering of the insulating resistance of the windings under a predetermined value;
  3. LED and warning functions:

    EZAD-11 is supplied with the following LED indicators:

    • green (ready) – constantly led when operational contact is on;
    • yellow (overloading/underloading) – blinks with a fixed frequency when overloading, is constantly led when underloading, does not emit light when normal loaded (when in the predetermined values);
    • red (constantly led after emergency shutdown of the motor showing the kind of malfunction);
    • red (empty well) – constantly låd after turning off the motor after lower level of the water;
  4. Control and communications

    EZAD-11 provides:

    • Initial time-delay after turning on the voltage power supply in the network thus not allowing the simultaneous turning-on of several aggregates in automated mode;
    • Control of pump aggregates according to the water level;
    • Control of the flowrate of pump aggregates (when requested by the client);
    • Remote reset on the galvanically connected channel;
    • Option for an additional sound or light indication when mechanism overloads;
    • Showing all data on the aggregate’s condition in the dispatching system.
