Electronic Protection Unit – EZAD- 14

  1. Applications:

    EZAD-14 is a two-channeled direct (thermal) protection unit with 2 thermal sensors of a semiconductor type, attachment possibility (transistor or a diode). It is designed for electric engine or/and manufacturing mechanisms protection through direct control of the temperature of two chosen controlled points.

  2. Protective Functions:

    EZAD-14 provides protection when “emergency” mode of operation is on, which results in temperature rise in the controlled points: overload due to technological reasons or mechanical malfunction; asymmetric electric power-up or loss of phase; high temperature of the environment or insufficiently cooling.

  3. Additional functions:

    There is an inbuilt electronic timer in the EZAD-14 that supplies regulated initial time-delay (1-5 min) to avoid simultaneous turn-on of the two or more electric engines. During a current rush in the network and loss of the power circuit the timer restarts and wards the frequent engine turn-on.

  4. Indications and reset:

    EZAD-14 is supplied with three light emitting diodes: ready – green; overheat 1 (red); overheat 2 (red). After overheating the given thermally controlled point the malfunction is memorized and the start is blocked until reset or cooled.

  5. Mounting and overall dimension:

    EZAD-14 is mounted on a wall or metal control table using 2 bolts M 4x30. Overall dimension: 70x125x52 mm. The box is plastic; IP 20
